Our Mission Statement!

The Mission Child Care Consortium, Inc. was established in 1971 to provide a network of comprehensive daycare services to residents of the Mission District in San Francisco and to provide an educational preschool program that will prepare the children for formal schooling once they complete Preschool Education from the Mission Child Care Consortium’s program and move on to Kindergarten. 

Mission Child Care Consortium, Inc. seeks to provide educational experiences that support children and families who are in the process of English language acquisition, in addition to language development in their home language(s).

There are a total of nine classrooms on-site, which provide a full-day, breakfast, lunch and snack provided by our Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) for 224 children ages 2.11 to 5 years old.  Mission Child Care Consortium Inc. ‘s student population reflects San Francisco’s rich ethnic, cultural and linguistic diversity and is proud to serve such a high need and demand for working families in the community and in San Francisco.

A Message from our 

Executive Director

Melanie Santana, Executive Director has worked at Mission Child Care Consortium Inc. (M.C.C.C.) for 25 years.

My dedication and commitment has been to serve children and families with high needs enriched preschool services; provide referrals and resources in our community. Mission Child Care Consortium Inc. has provided preschool services since 1971. M.C.C.C. has provided high quality education by Early Childhood Educators who have been teaching in our program for 5 to 35 years. We continue to grow and provide employment opportunities by welcoming those whose passion is a career in early childhood education. M.C.C.C. is a dual language learner program with Family Engagement, Parent Workshops, and Staff Trainings. Mission Child Care Consortium Inc. has served preschool services to generations of families in the Excelsior district and continues to welcome many more.

Our Philosophy

Mission Child Care Consortium, Inc. is dedicated to providing high-quality multilingual preschool education in a safe and nurturing environment led by qualified teachers. Our curriculum enhances children’s. We offer a range of inclusive activities that cater to the unique needs of children with disabilities. Our activities are designed to align with the Individualized Education Program (I.E.P.) goals, if applicable, and promote full participation and equity. For Mission Child Care Consortium, Inc. parent engagement and parent involvement is the key to unlocking a child’s academic potential. Research says that when parents actively participate in their child’s education, it sends a clear message that education is a top priority and their child’s future matters.  Families working together with the agency’s staff to raise awareness of their child’s educational development reflects the M.C.C.C. agency’s success philosophy.
